Rural House
A short film about place, architecture and atmosphere.
FILMED AND EDITED BY ALEIX VILADRICH
This film explores the relationship between architecture, landscape and the experience of moving through a place. The project began with the intention of documenting the house, but gradually developed into something more atmospheric and observational.
Light, texture, movement and the surrounding environment were treated as part of the same visual language, allowing the film to move between the architecture itself and the landscape around it.
About the film
The project was approached as a visual portrait rather than a traditional architectural film. Instead of simply documenting rooms and spaces, the camera looks for the details that define how the place feels.
Wide environmental frames are combined with smaller observational details, creating a slower rhythm focused on atmosphere, material and natural light.
Production
The film was produced with a compact setup, combining handheld cinematography, tripod work and natural light.
The small production approach allowed the shooting process to remain flexible and responsive to changes in light, weather and activity around the location.
